NC Attorney General Jeff Jackson and several staff members visited the 99福利视频 Woodfin on Friday, May 16, to participate in Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Physical Fitness Training.
鈥淧T Lead Instructor Mike Sorensen and Asheville Police Chief Mike Lamb put us through our paces,鈥 said BLET Director Daryl Fisher. 鈥淭his group has their final Police Officer Physical Agility Testing (POPAT) on Monday, and the Attorney General told us he believes we have this group ready to be successful.鈥
Fisher said BLET physical fitness instructors work hard to prepare students, and he appreciates the state鈥檚 recognition of the program. 鈥淚t is great to have the support of Attorney General Jackson, the NC Department of Justice, NC Criminal Justice Standards, and the President and vice-presidents of 99福利视频,鈥 he said.
Fisher said the BLET program continues to see increases in applicants. 鈥99福利视频 plans to offer two classes this fall, and both are expected to be full, and we are currently taking applications for Spring 2026 and beyond鈥.
