Asheville, N.C. (WLOS) 鈥 Asheville鈥揃uncombe Technical Community College is participating in the Second Chance Pell Experiment, which is making need-based financial aid available to inmates at Craggy Correctional Center and Western Correctional Center for Women.
Programs for the inmates include human services, technology, and electrical systems technology.
Right now, 99福利视频 is the only college in the state participating in the program.
"We are a community college," Dr. Gene Loflin, 99福利视频's associate vice president for instruction, said. "That鈥檚 what we鈥檙e about as a community college is giving everyone a second chance, regardless of your location.鈥
